About Me

Leah Schofield

Leah Schofield is an artist based in Kent whose work celebrates the beauty of the natural world. Working mainly in watercolour, oils, mixed media and experimental techniques, she captures moments of calm and connection, from countryside walks and gardens to skies, animals and wildflowers.

Leah studied Fine Art at City Lit in London and her work has been exhibited across Kent and won several awards. Her first solo exhibition, Moments in Nature, explored the fleeting moments of beauty that make us stop and notice the world around us.

A former teacher with over a decade of experience, Leah now combines her love of art and teaching through her watercolour classes, private tuition and online art community.

When she's not painting, Leah enjoys gardening, countryside walks, taking nature photos and the company of her black-and-white cat, Darla, who is usually close by when the paintbrushes come out!

Learn Art With Me

Watercolour Classes in Strood

My watercolour classes are friendly, relaxed sessions where you can learn new techniques, develop your skills and enjoy a couple of creative hours each week.

Each week we explore a different subject or technique, from flowers, animals and still lifes to landscapes and woodland scenes. I teach skills including colour mixing, wet-on-wet, layering, creating depth and texture, with demonstrations and plenty of individual guidance along the way.

The classes are suitable for all abilities, including complete beginners, and I keep the groups small so everyone gets plenty of support.
